Online Seminar: Detecting vegetation changes with Sentinel
In the online seminar timeStamp, Felix Kessler and Gregor Tintrup will present this CODE-DE service for the analysis of changes in open land areas. The service provides information on area-specific changes in land use on the basis of remote sensing indices. The focus is on vegetation indices calculated from image time series from the Sentinel 1 and 2 satellites.
In the webinar you will learn how to use the timeStamp platform. For surface geometries that you upload yourself, timeStamp calculates different remote sensing indices for you from satellite image time series. These index time series help you to assess the status of the areas in the time period you have selected and to recognize changes in use for each individual area. As a user, all you need is the service, your browser and a few remote sensing basics. For example, you will receive information on the development of the photosythesis activity of your areas, which you can continue to use in geoinformation systems, for example, after downloading.
The Sentinel data can be used in combination with other test parameters for the targeted planning of on-site inspections on agricultural land. The existing use case for winter catch crop mixtures provides test information with traffic light colors. Further application options arise in area monitoring for nature conservation, traffic routes, et
