CODE-DE on GitHub

Over the past years GitHub developed as a quasi-standard for software development and version control using Git. It provides distributed version control, bug tracking, software feature requests, task management, continuous integration, and wikis.

The cloud platforms CODE-DE and EO-Lab both aim at supporting the German and international Geospatial Community. Besides access to data repositories, compute resources and established processors, the connection to and interaction with the global open source community is seen as an important element.

In order to facilitate access to and exchange of open source software modules between the EO-Lab and CODE-DE communities, a joint GitHub repository was set up.

CODE-DE and EO-Lab like to acknowledge the first contribution of Prof. David Franz, who made available his comprehensive documentation of the FORCE Data Cube modules under this umbrella. We are looking forward to many more contributions and lively discussions.
