The Data Explorer is the main tool for discovery and exploration of CODE-DE geospatial data. It is both a web application with graphical user interface (GUI) and an API (API – application programmatic interface).
The application interacts with the CODE-DE data catalogue and identifies products based on user-defined queries. The metadata of the products are matched against a variety of user-defined variables, enabling targeted queries within the multi-petabyte data archive.

Usage requirements

There are certain requirements that must be met for use. Some data or services require an individual application. For more information, please contact the CODE-DE Support.

• Registration on CODE-DE: Yes
• Cloud resources on CODE-DE: No (only for using certain processors in the workspace to store results)
• Individual request: No

Data search and previewing is possible without registration - the other functions require registration. In addition, for the execution of processors in the workspace and to store results, cloud resources on CODE-DE (e.g. an S3 bucket) are necessary.

Please note: on-demand processing in the workspace is only possible with data products from the CODE-DE data catalogue.
