Digital Orthophotos - Thuringia

The orthophoto is a rectified and georeferenced aerial image of high accuracy and topicality. It is therefore very well suited for recording geodata and updating databases of geographical information systems, for planning purposes, geometrically accurate measurements and much more.

As it is based on national coordinates, it can also be combined with other data sets, e.g. the digital topographic map, the digital landscape model or user-generated data.

Aerial surveys have been carried out since 1994, with images being flown every two years since 2014.

The available image material has the following characteristics

Spatial coverage: Thuringia
Temporal coverage: 2022-2023
Geometric resolution (ground resolution): 20 cm
Reference system: EPSG:25832 - ETRS89 / UTM zone 32N
File format: GeoTiff
Tiling: 5 x 5 km
