Digital Orthophotos - North Rhine-Westphalia

Orthophotos are high-resolution, distortion-free, true-to-scale photographic images of the earth's surface. The fully digital production process results in digital orthophotos (true DOP) at the end of the process chain, which are characterised by the elimination of all perspective effects. Digital orthophotos are georeferenced and are available for the entire 34,000 km2 of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Image flights are carried out every two years in spring (without foliage) and summer (with foliage). The ground resolution (ground sample distance, GSD) is 10 cm. The DOP data is continuously updated.
